(மனகதவு) - MANAKATHAVU (INTRO): THE DOOR OF YOUR HEART

Written & Narrated by SHIVANZ

Open your heart, you will see your true self.

That was the very first line I wrote when I started Manakathavu (Intro) the opening track of my Nyanathin Uthayam The Ennealogy Mixtape. The word Manakathavu itself means “The Door of the Heart”, and that’s exactly what this song represents  a doorway into one’s soul, into truth, into awakening.

This isn’t just an intro  it’s a revolution in poetry, a spiritual awakening in sound. I wrote this piece from deep inside my heart, reflecting both the Eelam warriors’ spirit and Buddha’s teachings. Though I am a theist, I’ve always believed that God exists in many forms  not divided by religion or ritual, but united through love and consistency. To me, all gods are one, and humanity is the bridge that connects them.

As a Tamilian and a Malaysian Indian, I’ve seen too much pain around me  sons, fathers, brothers, and lovers lost to gangsterism, alcohol, drugs, and religious or caste separation. This song is a voice for them. It’s a call for unity, a reminder that when humanity is lost, the immortal warrior within must rise.

That’s what Manakathavu is  the awakening of the poet and the warrior within every soul.
It’s my message to the world: when faith fades, rise with love; when hate spreads, fight with truth.

My name, SHIVANZ, carries a part of Lord Shiva the silent god of meditation, who turns fierce when dharma is threatened. That same energy flows through this track. Calm yet powerful. Peaceful yet revolutionary.

The music video, captured beautifully by Fobiah (Malaysia’s Got Bars), was filmed at

Nian Jue Lin 念觉林, Jalan Sungai Lalang, Semenyih (Selangor) my personal healing place. The first time I stepped there, I already knew this was the sacred ground where the intro would come alive. The silence, the statues, the mountain wind… it all echoed the spirit of Manakathavu.

This song marks the beginning of Nyanathin
Uthayam (The Ennealogy)
a journey through self, struggle, and salvation.
It’s not just music  it’s a movement of the heart, and Manakathavu is where the door first opens.
