(ஞானத்தின் உதயம்) Nyanathin Uthayam : The Ennealogy Mixtape - The Journey from 2020 to 2025

 Sometimes, masterpieces aren’t born from perfection  they’re born from chaos, loss, and divine timing. Nyanathin Uthayam (ஞானத்தின் உதயம்) – The Ennealogy Mixtape is one such creation.

Between 2020 and 2025, I, SHIVANZ (Agilan), was working on what was meant to be my debut album. But destiny had other plans. Due to several technical issues, lost project files, and rough recording conditions, the album transformed into a mixtape  a raw, spiritual, and emotional documentation of my life journey.

Despite the setbacks, I decided to preserve the essence , the soul behind the sound and release it as a physical copy during the Basement MC’s Showcase in May 2025.

The Birth of Enlightenment

Originally titled “Enlightenment”, this project started in my small room in Semenyih,Selangor  which later became our creative home studio. We called it “The Garage.”

All the recording, mixing, and production happened within those four walls, led by Marsya  the official beat producer and recording engineer. Later, Marsya gave our little space and label a name that would stick forever: Industry Discard Records, and the studio became Industry Discard Garage.

The Story Behind the Mixtape 

Nyanathin Uthayam (The Rise of Wisdom) is more than just songs  it’s my life story from childhood to spiritual rebirth.

It narrates Agilan’s (my) journey  from my parents’ love marriage and the struggles of growing up, through societal pressure, heartbreak, suicidal thoughts, and ultimately, rebirth through Lord Murugan’s grace.

Every track holds a real piece of my past: my parents’ voices, arguments, care, and the first sounds I heard as a child. My ex’s voice, too, appears  a reminder of the lessons that shaped me.

The mixtape also pays tribute to the films that spiritually moved me  Baba (2002), Arunagirinathar, Arut Perum Jothi, and Pattinathar ,each influencing the concept of faith, surrender, and awakening within me.

Tracklist & Concepts

The mixtape consists of 9 songs and 2 skits, each representing a chapter of my personal evolution.

1. Manakathavu (Intro)

   • A message of equality  that all humans are one beyond religion and caste.

   • (Official Music Video released on my birthday May 23,2025)

2. Agilan 80100

   • My childhood memories, traumas, and pain growing up.

   • A reflection of innocence, struggle, and discovery.

3. Pallikoodam

   • A tribute to my school days at SMK Hutchings, where I discovered writing and rap.

   • Dedicated to the teachers & my beloved friends who showed me love and hope.

4. Skit 1 (Arut Perum Jothi Movie Sample)

   • Vallalar’s call to Lord Murugan parallels my own cry for guidance when I was lost.

5. Aadum Parivel (Produced by Raavanan)

   • Symbolic of Murugan’s arrival a spiritual awakening and asking lord Murugan for Granting a boon to become a poet and musician.

   • Features Agaran, Raavanan, and Wheelchair Rapper.

   • Hook taken from Kanthan Anuboothi .

   • (Remastered by Agaran & official music video by Fobiah - Malaysia’s Got Bars.)

6. Meendum Yezhu (Boom Bap Version)

   • Produced by  VR Beatz’s originally in 2020 and kept in the vault until 2025.

   • Later remixed by MARSYA to Boom Bap version for the mixtape.

   • A reminder to “rise again.”

7. Maya (ft. Saadhika)

   • A poetic take on lust and distraction.

   • How the mind gets trapped in desires when focusing on purpose.

   • A commentary on modern society’s obsession with pornography and lust.

8. En Uyire (ft. Pri)

   • Written by me, with my ex-girlfriend’s vocal skit.

   • Reflects the pain, heartbreak, and emptiness before my suicidal thoughts.

9. Naragam (ft. Ravi Varmah)

   • A song written from my suicide note, later turned into art.

   • Soulfully sung by Ravi Varmah, portraying my mental breakdown and pain.

10. Skit 2 (Arunagirinathar Movie Sample)

    • The scene where Murugan saves Arunagirinathar from falling, saying “Sollara, summa iru” 
      this symbolizes my own survival and spiritual awakening after my suicide attempt.

11. Nyanathin Uthayam (Title Track)

    • The final song and heart of the mixtape.

    • Represents my spiritual awakening  the moment I understood that enlightenment isn’t found outside, but within.

The Release & Legacy

Nyanathin Uthayam  The Ennealogy Mixtape was officially launched at the Basement MC Showcase on 17 & 18 May 2025, where physical copies were sold to the public.

The project includes two official music videos:

• Manakathavu (Intro) released on May 23, 2025

• Aadum Parivel (Remastered) – coming soon
  Both visualized by Fobiah (Malaysia’s Got Bars) and photographed by Tharunan.

A Creator’s Reflection

This mixtape isn’t about sound perfection  it’s about truth. Many may not connect with its raw mix or lo-fi tone, but for me, it’s a reflection of sacrifice, pain, faith, and rebirth.

It’s my story from darkness to light, from suicide to salvation.
It’s not just music; it’s a diary of my soul.

Nyanathin Uthayam The Ennealogy Mixtape is my beginning, my confession, and my rebirth.
